Cassandra’s Children is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to assist people navigating difficult times with a three-pronged approach of facilitating mutual aid, providing free educational materials on how to survive and thrive during economic downturns, and promoting non-violent individual and collective activism as global citizens.
In volunteering with Cassandra’s Children, you are able to help us expand and diversify our educational support; and implement our educational, financial, and activism-based initiatives. Your volunteer hours can be credited for hours worked, as needed. Writing positions may help with college applications as well as resumes. Your byline will be included for any of your published material on our website or other Organizational materials.
If you are interested in joining our team as a volunteer writer, please send a brief letter of interest and a current writing sample of at least 500 words, sourced and cited Associated Press (AP) Style. Please include a social, racial, or economic justice theme. Please don’t send AI generated work. Cassandra’s Children intentionally minimizes our use of artificial intelligence in order to protect marginalized communities and the environment.
Still interested? Email your letter of interest and writing sample to [email protected], and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
